The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) was released in July 2024 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Online applications will be accepted from March 7, 2024, until April 2, 2024, for the CTET Paper I and Paper II Primary and Junior Level.

  • For Single Paper :
  • General / OBC / EWS: 1000/-
  • SC / ST / PH : 500/-
  • For Both Paper Primary / Junior :
  • General / OBC / EWS: 1200/-
  • SC / ST / PH : 600/-
  • Examinees may pay by credit card, debit card, net banking, or e-challan.

Eligibility code for primary level (class 1-5):

  • Senior Secondary (or similar) with at least 50% of the possible points, passed, or scheduled to appear in the last year of a two-year elementary education diploma program (under whatever name). OR
  • According to the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the last year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • At least 50% in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and passing or appearing in the last year of a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) program are prerequisites.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% of the possible points, passed or planning to appear in the last year of a two-year Special Education Diploma program.

Eligibility code for junior level (class 6-8):

  • Graduation and successful completion of the two-year Elementary Education Diploma program, or enrollment in the final year, under any name.
  • A minimum of 50% in graduation or post-graduation coursework, as well as passing or being accepted into the final year of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with a minimum of 45% of the possible points and passing the final year of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program, in compliance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations that are periodically released in this respect.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% of the possible points, and pass or be enrolled in the last year of a four-year elementary education bachelor's degree (B.El.Ed.).
  • A minimum of 50% in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and passing or appearing in the last year of a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. program, or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
  • at least 50% on graduation, passing the last year of the B.Ed. (Special Education) program, or appearing in it.
  • Any applicant who has completed a B.Ed. program that has been approved by the NCTE is qualified to participate in TET/CTET. Furthermore, a person enrolled in any of the teacher education programs listed in the NCTE Notification dated August 23, 2010 (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) is also eligible to appear in the TET/CTET, according to the current TET guidelines distributed via NCTE letter dated February 11, 2011.
  • Post-Graduation: passing the last year of the three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program with a minimum of 55% of the available credits or an equivalent grade.

How to fill online form for CTET:

  • The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Papers I-V and VI-VIII will be released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in July 2024. Online Applications are Accepted from 07/03/2023 to 02/04/2024.
  • Note: This year, there are fewer exam locations in each city; candidates will be able to view this information in real time when completing the application. Because there are a limited number of places available in the exam city, all applicants who wish to take the exam in the closest center or city should apply as soon as possible.

  • Please verify and gather all necessary documents, including those pertaining to eligibility, identity verification, address information, and basic details.
  • Please be ready to scan the following documents: the recruitment form, photo, signature, ID proof, etc.

  • The candidate must submit whether they are required to pay the application fee. Your form is incomplete if you have not paid the required application fees.
